The best part about this career is getting to document families growing.  I first met Ashley and Jason a few years ago when the hired me to photograph their wedding (you can see their wedding and engagement photos here).  I met up with them in the fall to photograph another chapter to their story.  I hadn’t seen their daughter since she was a newborn (in the “Newborn and Expecting Families Gallery” – https://www.alanmaudie.com/calgary-family-photographer/) and soon as I saw her I knew she was going to steal the show!  The best part about being a parent myself is I know what to expect from a two year old kept up past their bedtime for sunset light, not much 🙂  The good news with two year olds is they are pretty easily distracted!
