I was born and raised in the Canadian Rockies and spend a lot of time working and playing in the mountains.  I never really take the scenery for granted but I do sometimes forget that it’s a world-class destination for people.  That is why I really appreciate working with couples who are experiencing the iconic landscapes of this area for the first time.  Eva and Sam were planning their dream wedding on the shores of Lake Louise and were looking for a Lake Louise wedding photographer and a bit of a guide.  They also wanted an engagement session and were willing to trust me enough to choose a location for the shoot.  You can see their engagement session in the previous blog post. 

The wedding day ran smoothly thanks to the expertise of Cathy MacRae of Creative Weddings.  There was quite a bit of smoke in the area due to some local forest fires and as the day went on the conditions got a bit better.  Fortunately it takes a lot before the scenery at Lake Lousie becomes anything but amazing.
