Lauren and Michael – Lake Louise Wedding Photographer
Lauren and Michael came all the way from South Africa for their wedding at Lake Louise. I don’t know how many places there are on earth that can bring people so far for a wedding, but I feel pretty lucky to be able to photograph weddings at locations like this. The day was about family coming together as all weddings should be. Lauren’s side has family in Canada so this was a reunion as well as a wedding. The day ran smoothly and stress free thanks to the lovely ladies at Postcard Weddings & Events based out of Canmore, and the staff at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

There was a large forest fire burning in the area and the winds weren’t favourable. This was unfortunately the clearest view of the back of the lake and Mt. Victoria that we had all day 🙁Kids before the ceremony. The guys hitting the aisle.Michael was so nervous and it was really nice to see a smile break on his face when Lauren looked up at him. Note – I prefer to photograph weddings alone as I did here. MomAs we were working through some portraits I noticed that Mt. Victoria was not visible anymore. I felt so bad for this couple who had travelled so far for the view. Having said that it added a different element to the photos and I really liked the romance the smoke brought, especially in black and white.
