Priddis Bragg Creek Wedding Photographer
The landscape around the Priddis / Bragg Creek area is just about perfect for a country wedding. If you have ever seen an episode of Heartland on TV this is the area it’s filmed. Lindsay and Ian wanted to have their wedding on the family property and that meant installing a large tent for the reception. Friends and family gathered for nights before to put up the tent and layout an “OSB” (aka particle board) floor. It is a lot of work, so I’m told 🙂 The weather prior to their June wedding was very wet and on the day of the wedding the forecast was 100% for rain, it was just a matter of when and how much. We did their engagement session at Lake Louise in March. There are a few photos from that session first then onto the wedding.
—————————————————-THE WEDDING DAY—————————————————————
Blue shoes for the bride and rubber boots for her girls.
One of my all-time favourite portraits of a bride. Completely unposed.
With her Mom and Dad. This was a near make-up disaster 🙂
At the start of the ceremony the sun was still out but a second tent was up in case the rain did happen.
Bride’s parents watching during the vows.
Groom’s parents watching during the vows.
With the ceremony behind them it was time to have some fun and do their portrait session. The sky was really dark but they were managed to get the whole shoot in with only a couple short interruptions of rain.
Run!
A fun group shot of the entire wedding and a tractor!Ian spending some time with his grandma. Nice to see.
Parent dance.
First dance.
Rings on the OSB dance floor in the tent. An older guest was not too pleased to see me taking a photo of their rings on the “dirty floor”. I tried to explain the potential significance of it but…….
Not sure why but I came to your blog today curious if your blog post was still up. Awesome to see the updated post, what great memories! We cherish these photos. We’ve got a golden retriever and 2 kids now, James is 3 and Evelyn is 1.5.
Thank you again,
Lindsay
Thank you Lindsay!
