Yael and Eitan brought their entire family and all of their closest friends all the way out from Toronto to share their love of the Rockies. Photographing these two was a pleasure and they just seemed to be living their dream wedding.
The wedding plan was big, complex, and amazing. A two part traditional ceremony with a massive reception plan, tons of family and tempramental mountain weather, meant that an expert was going to be needed to plan and execute the day. Wisely these two hired Lynn Fletcher Weddings with Stephanie Schmit as their lead planner. Stephanie is a talented designer and a planner who can keep any group on schedule, which was essential on this day.
On to the photos…. a few from their engagement session in the Banff area to start.
Wedding Day at the Fairmont Lake Louise! Eitan and Yael wanted to see each other before the ceremony and scheduled plenty of time for this part of their day. It allowed for a really relaxed pace, which is always a big plus for photographers like myself who prefer to stand back and document real moments as they happen. There were a whole lot of girls in Yael’s room getting ready. This is the groups reaction to seeing her in her dress.
As we were walking down the hall to meet Eitan outside we just happened to run into Yael’s dad. I’m so glad I was able to record this unplanned moment.
Yael walking to meet Eitan with all the girls watching on.During our portrait session we came across the groomsmen who decided they were going for a swim. For those who don’t know, Lake Louise is NOT warm. It’s all glacial meltwater. The two part Jewish Orthodox ceremony.Married!
